South Coast KZN Community Practice Sessions – Shelly, Uvongo, Manaba, Margate and Ramsgate Beaches

South Coast KZN Community Practice Sessions – Shelly, Uvongo, Manaba, Margate and Ramsgate Beaches

Good day dear readers! Glad to see you’re back!

The next topic we have in place – The South Coast KZN Community Practice Sessions. This dates back to our long tradition of performing on Friday evenings. The traditional training and relaxing night out after a long work-week, accompanied by long conversations and memories. The community practice sessions on various south coast beaches aim to raise awareness of Flow Arts and its benefits, as well as a training ground for existing fire performers along the coastline.

Many performers in various areas of KwaZulu-Natal cannot always reach one designated spot – so we have multiple areas to provide everyone with a bit of an opportunity to join in on the fun, training and learn a couple movements and tricks. This is our way of giving back to our little paradise. There are a couple things you can expect from these practice sessions, one of them being is these night-outs on various beaches are safe with our crowd of performers, bringing out most hermits to enjoy a little time on the beach in the evenings, you can expect to see the hours and movements, tricks, fire blows that are in practice by current and new performers alike, there’s an endless amount of interesting topics our fire performers do for a living – so there’s that to dive into as well.

Some people are also unsure of what to bring or if these community sessions cost anything to learn – the answer is no, the sessions are completely free of charge and we provide the training props for individuals interested in learning the art & skills. We recommend bringing something to keep yourself hydrated and a few snacks to keep the munchies away for the evening. There was a stage, we even brought dinner to these practice sessions! The purpose is to be a sociable learning experience and to relax, to take a moment out of our busy lifestyle and take a break and focus on what you love doing.

We’re dedicated to constantly improving our love for Flow Arts & Fire Dancing and this is a wonderful opportunity to do so, for anyone. Even as a trial run, we have created a WhatsApp Channel for the public’s convenience, so feel free to join in to keep up to date and find out when the next one is!

Thanks a million everyone.
Until the next one!
